Café Roche just might be the perfect coffee shop: organic coffee, live acoustic singers, a fireplace, local art on the walls, and, of course, milkshakes. Sure, the milkshakes might not have been the first thing you expected from your barista, but after you taste their creamy blueberry ice cream, you won't mind the untraditional combination.

Started in June, 2008, Cafe Roche has quickly found its niche in the heart of the Ardmore neighborhood in Winston-Salem, NC. Within its first year of business, it has been named #1 Coffee Shop in Triad's Latitude Magazine. Best known for their Cortado’s, espresso "cut" with steamed milk, Cafe Roche offers a variety of sweet, strong, and caffeine-loaded coffee drinks. Coffee is Organic, Direct- Trade and Shade Grown, and Cafe Roche supports sustainable methods whenever possible. For those who aren't coffee-addicts, Cafe Roche offers numerous teas and smoothies, and the above mentioned milkshakes.

Don't be surprised if your latté is delivered in a humungous mug, with "latte art" swirled into the foam. Another artistic flare that makes Café Roche unique. The drinks are similarly priced to other comparable coffee shops, and the consistency of service and the novelty of the experience make Café Roche worth the trip to S. Hawthorne Rd.” ~Martha Williamson, Contributing Writer, Wake Forest Student Magazine
